At Lake Perris, watercraft without running lights must be off the water by sunset year-round. For those interested in camping or glamping rentals, Lake Perris offers a variety of options. If you're looking for RV trailer rentals, you'll find convenient storage solutions as well.

Travel Advisory
No priority can be given to pass holders or to reservations for camping at Lake Perris. State Park admittance and use are subject to available space.
The park goes into closure to all vehicle traffic when the lake reaches boat capacity, which is 450 vessels, or when all the parking areas are full. All vehicles must wait in line.

Vessel Information
Lake Perris is a fantastic destination for outdoor enthusiasts, allowing power boats, personal watercraft (jet skis), and non-powered vessels (such as sailboats, canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddle boards) on the water. We welcome both 2 and 4 stroke engines for your enjoyment.
Before enjoying camping or glamping rentals at Lake Perris, it's important to ensure that all vessels are clean, drained, and dry prior to entering the water. To protect the ecosystem, all vessels will be inspected for Quagga and Zebra mussels. Any vessels that do not pass inspection will not be permitted to enter the Park.

Lake Perris Weather
Lake Perris enjoys a classic Southern California climate: hot, dry summers and mild, wetter winters. Annual temperatures typically range from lows around 41°F in winter to highs up to 95°F in summer, rarely below freezing or exceeding 100°F.
- Summers (June–September): Hot and arid with average highs of 87–95°F and lows around 57–64°F. Precipitation is minimal, and skies are mostly clear—perfect for water activities.
- Winters (December–February): Mild with average highs of 65–68°F and lows around 38–43°F. Most of the year's rainfall falls here, mainly from November to April.
- Spring/Fall: Pleasant transition seasons with comfortable temperatures (70–85°F highs) and low rain.
- Lake Water Temperature: Averages around 70°F year-round, cooling to ~55–62°F in winter and warming to 75–79°F in summer—ideal for swimming, boating, kayaking, and paddle boarding from late spring through fall.

Enjoy designated swimming beaches at Moreno and Perris Beach (lifeguards on duty seasonally), world-class largemouth bass fishing, waterskiing, sailing, or even scuba diving in dedicated areas. All vessels must pass a quick Quagga mussel inspection for safety—arrive clean, drained, and dry!

Escape to the scenic trails surrounding Lake Perris for breathtaking views and fresh air! Explore miles of multi-use paths perfect for hiking, biking, or just traversing. Highlights include the challenging Terri Peak Loop for panoramic views, rock climbing enthusiasts can tackle Big Rock's routes (bring your gear!), while families enjoy easier picnicking spots and the Ya'i Heki' Regional Indian Museum.
